—Trussville Methodist Men’s Vegetable Dinner Fundraiser
Dinner is Wednesday, July 12 in the Christian Life Center – Food will be served at 6:00 pm.
Youth Block Party
Saturday, June 24th from 3-7 pm in the back parking lot. Bring your lawn chairs and come join the fun! There will be food and activities for all ages to enjoy. This is a church wide event that everyone is invited to and encouraged to attend. We are seeking to build relationships with those in the area who do not have a church home.
Kitchen Volunteers Needed
We need a “Kitchen Committee” to help with various events, such as potluck dinners, etc. that involve our kitchen. If you are interested in helping in this area, please contact the church office at 205-655-3259.
TMM Vegetable Dinner & Small Group Study Kickoff
Join us on Wednesday, July 12 as we kick off our first church-wide small group, along with a delicious Vegetable Dinner fundraiser meal at 6 pm from our Trussville Methodist Men. If you have not had this meal before, you are in for a treat! We’re launching our “Life’s Healing Choices” study—the lesson overview is 5:30-6:30, then break into smaller groups from 6:30-7:30. The small group study will be led by Rev. Bob Murray and Rev. Shan Odom. If you haven’t signed up yet, stop by the Transept or Welcome Center and add your name to the list.
Wednesday Night Fellowship Potluck
Wednesday, June 28 from 5:30—6:30 pm we’ll have a “Mexican” theme potluck fellowship dinner. Bring your favorite “Mexican” style potluck dishes. We’ll have a devotion during dinner and lots of fellowship!
July Naomi Girls Luncheon
Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Olive Garden in Trussville. RSVP Linda Shaddix if you plan to attend.
Children's Ministry
As we continue to grow and expand the Children's Ministry, we are in need of volunteers. There are many opportunities for you to serve! If you have a heart for working with children and want to make a positive impact on their lives, please contact Megan at kidsministry@trussvillefirst.com. Thank you for your continued support, and commitment to our children.
Food Drive for TEAM
June 14 - 28. Help our Kids and SWAG ministries stock the shelves at TEAM with snack food items and pre-packaged meal kits for families this summer. Drop off your items in the bins in the Welcome Center and at the portrait of John Wesley. They will be marked “TEAM”. Thank you.
TMM Monthly Meeting
The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. The special guest speaker will be Richard Searson, former Music Minister of Trussville First. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
