—Looking to plug-in? We would love to have your help! The Tech team is looking for more volunteers for the soundboard. We need ushers and liturgists. You can volunteer to work with our Children’s Ministry, or you can also volunteer to pack food at the Community Food Bank once a month. We have several great opportunities. Please call the church office to sign up.
—The Lovelady Center has requested our help with providing toilet tissue for the ladies at the center. We are collecting by the front doors. Thank you.

TMM Vegetable Dinner & Small Group Study Kickoff
Join us on Wednesday, July 12 as we kick off our first church-wide small group, along with a delicious Vegetable Dinner fundraiser meal at 6 pm from our Trussville Methodist Men. If you have not had this meal before, you are in for a treat! We’re launching our “Life’s Healing Choices” study—the lesson overview is 5:30-6:30, then break into smaller groups from 6:30-7:30. The small group study will be led by Rev. Bob Murray and Rev. Shan Odom. If you haven’t signed up yet, stop by the Transept or Welcome Center and add your name to the list.

Welcome Reception
Join us for a Reception on Sunday, June 18 during the Sunday school hour 9:45-10:45 am in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll be saying goodbye and a big “thank you” to Barber Clark, who has been our interim Children’s Minister. We are welcoming Shan Odom as our new Executive Minister and Megan McEvoy as our new Children’s Minister and hope you will stop by during the Sunday school hour to say hello and welcome them.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Potluck
Wednesday, June 28 from 5:30—6:30 pm we’ll have a “Mexican” theme potluck fellowship dinner. Bring your favorite “Mexican” style potluck dishes. We’ll have a devotion during dinner and lots of fellowship!

Blessing Box
A BIG THANK YOU to the New Beginnings Sunday school class for their help with food for our Blessing Box!
Our church gives out a lot of food to anyone who may have a need through our “Blessing Box” out front. We are seeing a marked increase in that need. To provide this ministry, we rely on donations of food from our members. Please consider purchasing an extra item or two when you shop to donate to our Blessing Box or perhaps your small group or class can help. There is a large blue bin by the front doors where you can place your donations and we will fill up the outdoor box as needed or you may place your items directly in the blessing box. Thank you for sharing.

Children's Ministry
As we continue to grow and expand the Children's Ministry, we are in need of volunteers. There are many opportunities for you to serve! If you have a heart for working with children and want to make a positive impact on their lives, please contact Megan at kidsministry@trussvillefirst.com. Thank you for your continued support, and commitment to our children.

Food Drive for TEAM
June 14 - 28. Help our Kids and SWAG ministries stock the shelves at TEAM with snack food items and pre-packaged meal kits for families this summer. Drop off your items in the bins in the Welcome Center and at the portrait of John Wesley. They will be marked “TEAM”. Thank you.

TMM Monthly Meeting
The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.

Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
