Reception for Phillip McEvoy
SPRC will be hosting a reception to welcome our new Youth Minister, Phillip McEvoy, on Sunday, June 5th during the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:30 am). Be sure to stop by and welcome Phillip and his family to Trussville First!
Mexico Mission
We are participating in a Church Building Mission in Mexico from May 29–June 4. Dr. Steve Strange, Savannah Strange and her brother, Jack are going from our church. Please pray for the success of this trip and their safe return home.
CR NEEDS YOU!
Our CR leadership team is looking for church members who are interested sharing their testimony. Anyone dealing with Hurts, Habits, or Hang-Ups may attend.
If you're interested in attending, simply join us any Tuesday night. We serve a snack dinner from 6pm – 6:30pm, followed by our large group program, then small groups. Please note: If you only want to attend large group, you are welcome to do so. If you are interested in possibly giving your testimony, call the church (205-655-3259) and leave a message with Candy. Someone from the leadership team will contact you.
Dinner and A Movie
To tie in to the new sermon series, Encanto, we will have a special dinner and movie on Wednesday, June 8th. Join us for dinner and stay to watch Disney's Encanto. Mark your calendars! More information to follow soon.
Village of Hope Widows Project
The Naomi Girls are sponsoring homes to be built for widows in Kabakuli, Uganda. They need your help! For every 32 people that donate $25 dollars each, one home can be built for a widow in need. YOU can make a difference! If you or your group would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to Trussville First UMC and put “Naomi Houses” on the memo line. You can also give online at this link. Follow the Missions fund link and select Naomi Houses as the sub fund. The donations for the houses will be collected until Sunday, September 18, 2022. Naomi Girls
June's Naomi Girls Luncheon will take place on Friday, June 17th at 11:30 am at Sherry’s Café in Trussville. If you plan to attend, please contact Linda Shaddix as soon as possible as reservations are needed for Sherry's Café.
Designs for Hope Eyeglasses Donation
The New Beginnings Sunday School class will be accepting donations of used eyeglasses for Designs of Hope. They will be sending the donations to Uganda. All used prescription glasses are accepted, including readers! The donation box will be in the New Beginnings Sunday School room until Sunday, June 5th. CHILDREN'S MINISTRY EVENTS
--Start of Summer Splash
The Trussville Methodist Consignment Sale is sponsoring a Children’s Ministry event: “Start of Summer Splash” on Wednesday, June 1st (new date!) from 5-7 pm in the back parking lot (CLC in the event of rain). We will have hot dogs and a water slide in the back parking lot. Please bring outdoor chairs and/or blankets for a picnic-style dinner. All are welcome – come join us for a fun family night!

Music and Arts Camp will be June 27-30 from 9 am - 1 pm each day.

--Camp Lee Day Camp Registration Openings
Camp Lee Day Camp registration is still open for incoming K-2nd graders, June 20-24.
The session for incoming 3-5th graders (June 13-17) is currently full, although they do have another week for this age group - June 27-July 1 (there may or may not be other children from our church that week).
For the weeks of June 13th and June 20th, we will have transportation available from the church each day. Please email Katie Morse, if you need more information or if your child needs transportation. katie@fumctrussville.com.
Wednesday Night Fundraiser Dinners
We have available Wednesday nights open during the summer. If your class or group is interested in a Wednesday night fundraiser, please contact the church office at 205-655-3259 to reserve your spot.
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting and a special guest speaker. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, June 16th. We are always accepting new volunteers! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
North Alabama Conference
The 2022 North Alabama Conference will gather in person on June 22-24 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. Conference members and guests will gather under the theme "Disciples Celebrating Discipleship" based on Acts 2:46-47.
