Naomi Girls Project
Solar Box Kits and Repair Water Wells
The Naomi Girls will be making solar boxes from kits to charge cell phones where there isn't electricity. Each solar kit will cost $100. We will begin to assemble the kits when we can pay for 10 kits. The repair of the water wells is $1,500 each. We will continue to work with the nonprofit, Designs For Hope, with Chris Bond with our project. The Naomi Girls would like to invite the Trussville First UMC family to help make these projects possible. If you would like to help with donations, please write your check to TFUMC for Naomi Girls and either solar boxes or repair wells. We need prayers for this project so that includes all ages can help. Naomi Girls Luncheon
Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:15 AM (notice time change). We will meet in the back parking lot of the church and carpool to The Farmhouse of Springville. The address is 85 Purple Heart Blvd., Springville, AL 35146. For those interested in joining us, please contact Linda Shaddix.
Lunch and Learn: United Methodist
We look forward to our fourth “Lunch and Learn”: United Methodist Church (Stay UMC) on Sunday, March 5th at 12:30 PM in the CLC. Our speaker will be Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett, who will also conduct our 11 am Traditional service and communion. The church will provide chicken fingers, so please plan to bring a side dish to share.
Dinner and Learn: Free Methodist

Emmaus Cluster Meeting
Trussville FUMC will be hosting the Birmingham East Emmaus Cluster Meeting on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30pm. Please plan to be there and give the cluster a warm welcome! Please bring a snack to share and come for a night of worship and fellowship with the Emmaus community.
Annual Easter Ferns Sale
Order yours today! Easter Ferns will be sold for $20 each to support Missions until April 3rd. Please leave your fern in the Sanctuary/CLC until after the 11 am service Easter Sunday. Order forms are in the Transept, Welcome Center, and the church office. Payment must be submitted with the order.
Lovelady Center Easter Baskets
Our church will once again provide Easter Baskets for the Lovelady Center. Please contact the church office to sign up to provide baskets. There are 124 children this year. We have a list of ages and gender from infants through 13 years of age. Thank you for your generosity in helping to meet this need. We are asking that the baskets be here by April 3rd so they can be picked up and delivered. They are also still in need of donations of toilet paper.
Spring Consignment Sale
The Spring Consignment Sale is just around the corner! The week of the sale is March 12-18th. Thank you to those who accepted the 100x2 challenge! We still have a some volunteer spots open for Thursday afternoon, Friday (8-7pm) and Saturday (8-2). Please reach out to trussvilleconsignment@hotmail.com to let us know when you can volunteer to serve 2 hours. We are looking forward to another successful sale to help support our children and youth ministries and local community in 2023!
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Rick and Charlene Sharp will be our speakers. They are our Church Coordinators for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. Breakfast will be served by The Pioneer Class. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, March 16, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.

Organ Fundraiser Update
We are still in need of donations to help with the cost of our organ. The goal is $94,000. Thanks to generous donors, we have raised over $41,650.
