Ash Wednesday Services
The beginning of the Lenten season is almost here. We will have two Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, February 22nd - noon and 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary. We will also be offering a drive-thru Imposition of Ashes from 7 - 8:30 AM in both the front parking lot and the back parking lot by Kids First.
Emmaus Cluster Meeting
Trussville FUMC will be hosting the Birmingham East Emmaus Cluster Meeting on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30pm. Please plan to be there and give the cluster a warm welcome! Please bring a snack to share and come for a night of worship and fellowship with the Emmaus community.
Annual Easter Ferns Sale
Order yours today! Easter Ferns will be sold for $20 each to support Missions until April 3rd. Please leave your fern in the Sanctuary/CLC until after the 11 am service Easter Sunday. Order forms are in the Transept, Welcome Center, and the church office. Payment must be submitted with the order.
Lovelady Center Easter Baskets
Our church will once again provide Easter Baskets for the Lovelady Center. Please contact the church office to sign up to provide baskets. There are 124 children this year. We have a list of ages and gender from infants through 13 years of age. Thank you for your generosity in helping to meet this need. We are asking that the baskets be here by April 3rd so they can be picked up and delivered. They are also still in need of donations of toilet paper.
Spring Consignment Sale
The Spring 2023 Trussville Methodist Consignment Sale will be the week of March 12th-18th.
Pastor Steve has asked for at least 100 volunteers to pledge their time to help with the Spring sale. That means you only need to volunteer one 2-hour shift. No matter your level of physical ability, there is a job for you. Volunteer registration is going on NOW. Remember all volunteers get to shop the sale early on March 15th before the public. Sign up sheets will be located in the CLC, transept and church office. You may also email Carolyn Matthews at ccmatthews137@gmail.com to let her know your availability.
We need Nursery Workers!
If you are interested, please contact the church office for more information. Must be at least 18 years of age and complete Safe Sanctuary Training and a background check.
Lunch and Learn: United Methodist
We look forward to our fourth “Lunch and Learn”: United Methodist Church (Stay UMC) on Sunday, March 5th at 12:30PM in the CLC. Be sure to mark your calendar for the next “Dinner and Learn”: Free Methodist Church on Thursday, March 9th at 6:00 PM in the CLC. Childcare will be provided. UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Rick and Charlene Sharp will be our speakers. They are our Church Coordinators for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. Breakfast will be served by The Pioneer Class. Community Food Bank
