Note:
- Our Cherub, Children’s and SWAG Choir will be singing ‘Christmas Worship’ songs in our Traditional Services on Sunday, December 10th.
- Missions Pancake Fundraiser dinner - Wednesday, December 13 at 5:30 pm, followed by small groups.
- Make plans to come (and invite your friends to come) and enjoy our Choir Cantata on Sunday, December 17 at both the 8:30 am and 11:00 am Traditional Services in the Sanctuary.
- On Sunday, December 17, you are invited to the Trussville Community Chorus Christmas Concert at 5:00 pm in our Sanctuary. Come relax and enjoy the beautiful music of the season!
LIVE NATIVITY ON THE FRONT LAWN - DECEMBER 18 FROM 5-7 PM. Bring the kids to see the animals and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while listening to live music. Please spread the word about this annual event!
Christmas Party Potluck
For our last Wednesday Fellowship meal of the year, will be having a Christmas Party Potluck on Wednesday, December 20 at 5:30 pm. Ham, chicken fingers and dressing will be provided. Bring your favorite side dishes and desserts and have a great time with your family and friends!
Church Year End Ministry Pictures and Recaps
If you have pictures of activities in your ministry (or around the church in general) that occurred from May 1, 2023 to current, please email them to Pastor Shan at shan@trussvillefirst.com. She is making picture collages for each ministry and will put all of the pictures in a video that we will share (hopefully) on January 1, 2024. This includes anything within the church and in the community, such as pictures from the community theater, mission trips, going to football games, birthday parties, circle lunches, etc. We want to celebrate how everyone has been committed to doing life together and being a witness to the goodness of God in the community!

Lovelady Toy Drive
Let’s make sure our Lovelady kids get toys for Christmas!
The Annual Lovelady Center Christmas Toy Drive is underway. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for any age boy or girl to the bin located next to John Wesley’s portrait outside the Fellowship Hall by Wednesday, December 13. These will be collected by Lovelady and given to the Lovelady Santa Shop to give to Lovelady Clients’ and Graduates’ children. Over 1,000 toys are given away each year. Studio of Music Showcase
Everyone is invited to Michael King‘s Studio of Music Student Showcase on December 10, at 2:00, in the Church Sanctuary. Enjoy Michael’s 16 OUTSTANDING piano and voice students, all ages, from beginners to professionals! The show is free, and promises to be very entertaining!
Women’s Ministry
We have finished raising money for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The grand total is $9,250 for 37 beds. Praise the Lord! I want to thank our church family for coming through for this worthy cause, but it's not over yet. We need all men, women and children (10 and over) to come out on Saturday, December 16th from 8am to 12pm (this is NOT the day of the Trussville Christmas Parade!) to help put the beds together. All you need are work gloves, as they provide everything else. Let's get these children in beds for Christmas!

Handbell Choir Needs Ringers!
You are invited to come and join our handbell choir. If you are not an experienced ringer, we can teach you. Everyone can learn and you will enjoy playing. We rehearse on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm in the Handbell Room. Please see Joe Faughender for more information.
TMM Monthly Meeting
The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. This month’s speakers are our Youth Minister, Phillip McEvoy and our Children’s Minister, Megan McEvoy. They will be discussing our Youth and Children’s programs in 2023 and 2024. Community Food Bank
