Community Thanksgiving Service
The annual Community Thanksgiving Service at First Baptist Church of Trussville will be held on Sunday, November 22nd at 6:00 pm. The speaker this year will be Gabriel Wright, Pastor of Gateway Family Church. The Hewitt Trussville Chamber Choir will participate in the service and non-perishable food items will be collected for T.E.A.M. They are practicing social distancing and requesting that everyone wear a mask as they move around the campus. You may also give monetary donations for T.E.A.M. like in years past. Checks can be made out directly to T.E.A.M.
Communion Elements Pick-Up
We will be offering small bags containing blessed Communion elements in December, so members who can not otherwise participate in monthly Communion can follow along with us via livestream. Once the bags are assembled they will be available for pick up inside the front door of the church, by the Fellowship Hall during regular church hours starting November 30th through December 4th. Each bag will have the individual/family's name on it.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in the month of December, please contact Donna Hall at wareaglegrad74@gmail.com to let her know the name to go on the bag and the number of Communion elements needed.

Cheaha District Advent Festival at Camp Lee
Anniston First UMC will be hosting their first-ever Advent Festival, featuring a drive-thru nativity. You are invited to bring you family and jumpstart the Advent Season on Sunday, November 22nd from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at Camp Lee - 70 Camp Lee Main Rd, Anniston, AL 36207.
Creating Camp Connections Fundraiser
The 2nd Annual Creating Camp Connections Fundraiser for Camp Sumatanga is underway! Many thanks to everyone who supported the 1st fundraiser last year. Thanks to your donations, a new water tank now serves our needs at Camp Sumatanga! This year the fundraiser supports getting Camp Sumatanga ready to open for on-site use again. Naomi Girls Needs Recommendations
We are asking for recommendations from members of our congregation, based on their personal experience, for different types of work such as home repair, landscaping, plumbing, etc. This is to create a network list for our Naomi Girls and they will share with anyone who has a need. If you have a personal recommendation, please contact Candy at the church office.
Worship Tech Ministry Opportunities:
The Worship Tech Team is currently looking for volunteers to assist in running the computer for the screens, the Sling for livestreaming and the soundboard. You will be taught everything you need to know and it is a great way to help in the production of our weekly services. If you're interested in joining our team, please contact Dan Shirah or the church office.
Mentors Needed for Youth Services
You can make a difference! Volunteer mentors are needed at the Vacca Campus of the Department of Youth Services. If you are interested or need more information, please contact Jim McDonald. Application forms are available at the church office.

Stephen Ministry
During these uncertain times (financial stress, health concerns, loss of loved ones), you may find you need someone to talk to. A Stephen Minister is a congregation member who walks beside someone who is hurting due to a death, divorce, illness, family issues, etc. The Stephen Minister has been carefully selected and trained to serve in this role because of his or her caregiving gifts. He or she listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages when meeting each week with his or her care receiver for as long as there is a need. These meetings may take place in person, by video or by phone.
