- We are collecting candy now for our annual “Trunk-or-Treat” at the end of the October. The collection bin is location by the portrait of John Wesley near the front door. Details to sign up for a trunk will be online soon.
TMCCS Public Sale Dates
- Friday, September 15th - 10 am to 9 pm and Saturday, September 16th - 8 am to 2 pm (Many items are 50% off!)

CONSIDER SPONSORING A BED FOR A CHILD THIS CHRISTMAS!
The Women’s Ministry of Trussville First is asking for your help with donations toward their “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” mission. The deadline to donate is November 24 and the amount needed is $5,000. The Women's Ministry will be host a bed building event on December 9 to assemble 20 bed kits at a cost of $250 each. The kits include the frame, mattress and bedding. The Women's Ministry is asking for donations to fund the kits. Any amount is appreciated! Please mark your checks for "SHP beds" to donate. For more information, contact Kim Cooper at 206-655-8616. Portraits of Hope Fun Run
September 16 at 9 am at Homewood Park is the 1st Annual Fun Run, benefitting Portraits of Hope (The Loveladies) Donna Smith is team captain. You can scan the code in the Transept/Welcome Center to donate. Be sure to put in “Donna Smith” so that she will get credit.
TEAM HAS MOVED!
TEAM (Trussville Ecumenical Assistive Ministry) supported by donations and volunteers from First Methodist Church of Trussville and seven other Christian churches in this area. WE HAVE MOVED to 570 Simmons Drive, Suite A, close to the Trussville Post Office, now open Mondays and Fridays from Noon until 2:00 pm. If you know of people in Trussville or the surrounding areas who could benefit from assistance with food or clothing, please help us extend Christian charity and love by referring them to us. Bible Study Leaders Needed
If you are interested in leading a small group beginning Wednesday, October 4th, please contact Candy in the church office by September 11 so that we can put out registration (and the order books for the study by September 20.) The study can be any length you are comfortable with. If it is gender or age specific, please let us know those details.
Women’s Ministry Hygiene Product Drive
The Women’s Ministry is asking for monetary donations for specifically requested hygiene products to be purchased for Lovelady Center and Brother Bryan Ministries. Please make your donations to the church and put "HYGIENE PRODUCTS" in the memo section. Thank you for your help with this new ministry!
Disciple Series Bible Studies
The Disciple series will begin on Sunday, October 1 (note date change) at 4:30 pm and will run for approximately 34 weeks. Disciple 1 Classes will be led by Robert Park and The Story will be led by Dr. Steve Strange. Locations to be determined. Sign-up sheets are located in the Welcome Center, Transept, in the Sunday School Classrooms or call the Church office. You can also fill out the online form HERE. Please sign up early so that we have time to order the books.
Talledega Football Team
Our first meal for the Talladega Football team is Friday, September 15. We will have the opportunity to serve 1-4 pre-game meals and provide them with some other items. We need your help with funding the meals and also we need lots of snack crackers and powdered Gatorade or Powerade. Thank you for your help.
Sign Fund
Trustees are starting a “Sign Fund” and asking for donations. The purpose of this fund is to replace all the small and large parking lot and building signs that had the cross and flame and the word “United” on them. It will also be used to repaint the signs on the buses. Thank you for donating to this fund.
Prayer Wall
We have a Prayer Wall that is available for adding your prayer requests. It can also be used by anyone who would like to pray for the requests that are on the wall. It is located between the Christian Life Center and the Transept so that everyone has an opportunity to add prayer requests and/or pray for prayer requests. Your ministers and staff will also take turns praying over the Prayer Wall. Please join us.
TMM Monthly Meeting
The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Our speaker for September is Jack Baker, State Director for Talent Advancement for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, September 21, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.

Celebrate Recovery
Anyone dealing with Hurts, Habits, or Hang-Ups is welcome to join us any Tuesday night for Celebrate Recovery.
We serve a snack dinner from 6pm – 6:30pm, followed by our large group program, then small groups. Please note: If you only want to attend large group, you are welcome to do so. If you are interested in possibly giving your testimony, call the church (205-655-3259) and leave a message with Candy. Someone from the leadership team will contact you.
