Your Place in Ministry - July 23rd
Notes:
—Back-to-School Bash, Saturday, August 5 from 4-7pm in the back parking lot. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs. We’ll have food, games and lots of fun for the whole family!
—Blessing of the Backpacks, Sunday, August 6 in all services.
Sign Fund
Trustees are starting a “Sign Fund” and asking for donations. The purpose of this fund is to replace all the small and large parking lot and building signs that had the cross and flame and the word “United” on them. It will also be used to repaint the signs on the buses. Thank you for donating to this fund.
Prayer Wall
We have a Prayer Wall that is available to add your prayer requests to. It is also for anyone who would like to pray for the requests that are on the wall. It will be moved between the Christian Life Center and the Transept so that everyone has an opportunity to add prayer requests and/or pray for prayer requests. Your ministers and staff will also take turns praying over the Prayer Wall. Please join us.
Springville Community Theater
How often can you visit the Oklahoma Territory, London, the South Sea Islands and Neverland all in one night? That's what will happen to you if you snag a ticket to Travelin' Through Time (by the seat of our pants), the musical comedy revue based on the 47-year history of the Springville Community Theater.
Performances are Friday, July 28 (7pm), Saturday, July 29 (2pm), and Sunday, July 30 (2pm). Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. To purchase tickets, call Donna Smith (205-937-0646) or Brenda Walker (205-937-2111).

Designs for Hope Fundraiser
Come join us for dinner on Wednesday, August 16th to support an exciting new fundraiser for Designs for Hope titled ‘Downrange Kilimanjaro’. In October 2023, Lee Neal, along with a team of 8 other climbers from across the US and Africa will climb to the 19,341’ summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in an effort to raise funds and awareness for water projects in 6 African countries. Lee and his team have all committed to raising an ambitious $15,000 apiece to meet the collective goal. All donations toward the goal are greatly appreciated. A couple of team members will be present and available for any questions or further details.
Back to School Supplies Needed
For the month of July, our church will collect the following school supplies for neighboring school systems who have a need: crayons, washable markers, packages of wide ruled paper, and #2 pencils. Please drop off your donations no later than Monday, July 31 at the Welcome Center or the Fellowship Hall in the bins marked for this collection. Thank you for your help!
