- You’re Invited! Join us on Sunday, June 2 at 11 am as we kick off our new 11 am Traditional Worship Southern Gospel Service in the Sanctuary. This will be a more relaxed, traditional-style service with all the favorite hymns from your childhood. We look forward to seeing you there!

- The Women’s Ministry is sponsoring a Mother-Daughter-Mentor English Tea Party on Sunday, August 18 from 2:30 to 4:30pm in the CLC. Join us for a cozy cuppa tea, delicate savories, sweets, and pastries. Our best china and teapots will grace our beautiful tables – each uniquely decorated. Hats and fascinators welcome, but optional! The cost per person is $15. In addition, donations are encouraged for Embrace - our 2024 mission project that supports foster children (you can drop off your donation to the church office). The event is open to high school girls and ladies of all ages. Seating is limited. Go to https://trussvillefirst.com/women-signup to register.

- Little Jesus Adventures. We are on a mission to share Jesus with as many people as possible and we need your help! Pick up several Little Jesus figures from the church office, then go to the Facebook page called LITTLE JESUS ADVENTURES so you can like, follow, & invite your friends to the page. Be sure to pray over your Little Jesus before giving Him to someone you don't know and let them know you hope their day is blessed. Finally, take a picture of your Little Jesus when you place him somewhere or give him to someone and share it on the Little Jesus Adventures Facebook page. Thank you for joining us on this mission to share a Little Jesus with everyone we meet because change starts with us!

- New Women's Bible Study: “Kingdom Politics” by Tony Evans.
In an increasingly polarized political climate, how can Christians participate in civil government in a way that brings honor to God? This will NOT be a Democrat vs Republican debate, but a Me and God reflection. If you are interested in learning about government from God's perspective, please join us for this six-session study. Wednesdays at 9 am.

- The Naomi Girls are continuing to ask for your help with our annual service project – support for our local Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge here in Birmingham. Through the month of April, $765 in donations have been given directly to the Birmingham Hope Lodge. Our Birmingham Hope Lodge provides a caring and supportive lodging place for those who are undergoing cancer treatment from out of town-40 miles or more.  Since there are a number of Hope Lodges across the country, please make your checks payable to the American Cancer Society with “restricted to Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge/Naomi Girls Project” on the memo line, so that your name will show up on the donor list. All checks should be mailed to: Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, Attention: Tonya Zapata, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205.  Envelopes (with this information inside) are available in the Transept and Welcome Center.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

- The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Our special guest speaker is Joy Tyner, Principal of Cahaba Elementary School. Notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.

- The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on June 20, 2024. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
