Organ Fundraiser
We are currently raising funds to pay for our new organ. Our goal is $94,000. Thanks to many volunteers, generous donors, and the Consignment sale, we have already raised $10,000. If you would like to make a donation, please select the organ option online or write “Organ Fundraiser” on the memo of your check. All gifts are greatly appreciated.
Designs For Hope Uganda Mission
Chris Bond of Designs For Hope is leading a mission group to Uganda in October. If you are interested in taking part in this trip, please contact Dan Shirah or Lee Neal right away, as the cut-off for reservations is coming up in July. Thank you!
Eyeglasses Donations for Uganda
We are now accepting eyeglasses for our upcoming Uganda Mission Trip. Please bring your eyeglasses to the church office before September 18th. Thank you!
Music & Arts Camp Needs Leaders
Our annual Music & Arts Camp is June 27th - 30th from 9 am to 1 pm. We are in need of some leaders, specifically in the area of engineering. Of course, we are always in need of volunteers willing to help serve food, guide the kids to and from groups, and also float between groups. If you're interested in helping in any of these areas, please contact Katie Morse at katie@fumctrussville.com
Celebrate Recovery
Anyone dealing with Hurts, Habits, or Hang-Ups is welcome to join us any Tuesday night for Celebrate Recovery. We serve a snack dinner from 6pm – 6:30pm, followed by our large group program, then small groups. Please note: If you only want to attend large group, you are welcome to do so. If you are interested in possibly giving your testimony, call the church (205-655-3259) and leave a message with Candy. Someone from the leadership team will contact you.
Village of Hope Widows Project
The Naomi Girls are sponsoring homes to be built for widows in Kabakuli, Uganda. They need your help! For every 32 people that donate $25 dollars each, one home can be built for a widow in need. YOU can make a difference! If you or your group would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to Trussville First UMC and put “Naomi Houses” on the memo line. You can also give online at this link. Follow the Missions fund link and select Naomi Houses as the sub fund. The donations for the houses will be collected until Sunday, September 18, 2022. CHILDREN'S MINISTRY EVENTS
--Camp Lee Day Camp
Camp Lee, Anniston, AL Completed 3rd-5th Graders. Session 3 is June 20th - 24th. Completed K-2nd Graders. Also, there is a session for SWAG 5th-7th graders (overnight). Contact Katie Morse for more info. katie@fumctrussville.com.
Wednesday Night Fundraiser Dinners
We have available Wednesday nights open during the summer. If your class or group is interested in a Wednesday night fundraiser, please contact the church office at 205-655-3259 to reserve your spot.
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, July 11, 2022. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting and a special guest speaker. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, July 21st. We are always accepting new volunteers! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
North Alabama Conference
The 2022 North Alabama Conference will gather in person on June 22-24 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. Conference members and guests will gather under the theme "Disciples Celebrating Discipleship" based on Acts 2:46-47.
