- Billy Graham

Join Us for A Sweet Sprinkle
Let's gather together to celebrate the soon-to-be newest member of the McEvoy family, Phillip and Megan's baby girl, Ellison Aurora! Sunday, June 23rd at 12:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall

“Big sisters have plenty to share, it’s just a sprinkle to show we care.
Not much is needed, just the basic stuff will do. Diapers, wipes or an outfit or two.”

- On Sunday, June 16 (Father’s Day), The Birmingham Community Band will perform in our Christian Life Center at 3:00 pm. It will be a traditional concert with lots of Americana. Be sure to bring your dad, granddad, mentor or just invite a few friends and come join us for an afternoon of great music!

- Directory photos: We are accepting submitted pictures for the directory. The cost to submit is $15 dollars (the company charges us this price) and you can turn in your payment to the church office. Be sure to note “directory” on your check. To submit a picture or request your previous 2019 directory picture be used, please email Melissa Smith at web.admin@trussvillefirst.com and include all the names in your picture, as you want it listed in the directory. Thank you!

- We still have our “Lost and Found” in the church office. There are several jackets that have been turned in and a box of small items, including assorted jewelry. Some of the items have been here for some time. If you are missing something, please check with the church office.

- The Women’s Ministry is sponsoring a Mother-Daughter-Mentor English Tea Party on Sunday, August 18 from 2:30 to 4:30pm in the CLC. Join us for a cozy cuppa tea, delicate savories, sweets, and pastries. Our best china and teapots will grace our beautiful tables – each uniquely decorated. Hats and fascinators welcome, but optional! The cost per person is $15. In addition, donations are encouraged for Embrace - our 2024 mission project that supports foster children (you can drop off your donation to the church office). The event is open to high school girls and ladies of all ages. Seating is limited. Go to https://trussvillefirst.com/women-signup to register.

- Little Jesus Adventures. We are on a mission to share Jesus with as many people as possible and we need your help! Pick up several Little Jesus figures from the church office, then go to the Facebook page called LITTLE JESUS ADVENTURES so you can like, follow, & invite your friends to the page. Be sure to pray over your Little Jesus before giving Him to someone you don't know and let them know you hope their day is blessed. Finally, take a picture of your Little Jesus when you place him somewhere or give him to someone and share it on the Little Jesus Adventures Facebook page. Thank you for joining us on this mission to share a Little Jesus with everyone we meet because change starts with us!

- The Naomi Girls are continuing to ask for your help with our annual service project – support for our local Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge here in Birmingham. Through the month of April, $765 in donations have been given directly to the Birmingham Hope Lodge. Our Birmingham Hope Lodge provides a caring and supportive lodging place for those who are undergoing cancer treatment from out of town-40 miles or more.  Since there are a number of Hope Lodges across the country, please make your checks payable to the American Cancer Society with “restricted to Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge/Naomi Girls Project” on the memo line, so that your name will show up on the donor list. All checks should be mailed to: Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, Attention: Tonya Zapata, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205.  Envelopes (with this information inside) are available in the Transept and Welcome Center.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

- The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.

- The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on June 20, 2024. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
