—The Lovelady Center has once again requested our help with toilet tissue. We will collect it by the front doors. Thank you for your help with this need.
—Volunteers are needed for Tech Support during our services. Please see Dan Shirah or call the church office at 205-655-3259 if you are interested.
—While we are still considering different denominations to affiliate with, there will be a GMC gathering at Clearbranch Methodist Sunday, May 7 from 3-6 pm. Members are encouraged to attend in order to learn more about the Global Methodist Church.

Michael King Student Showcase
You are invited to attend Michael King’s Student Showcase in the Church Sanctuary at 1 o’clock, Saturday, May 13. You will hear performances by Michael’s piano and vocal students! Fantastic talent of all ages, from beginners to professionals!
Naomi Girls
--The Naomi Girls enjoyed our monthly luncheon on April 21. We voted to stay together as a widows group. This group has meant a lot to us. With your help we have helped many and changed lives. We still need each other.
--Our project for this year, collecting money for solar boxes at $100 each and repairing water wells $1,500 each to be sent to Africa. We greatly appreciate all who have made donations. So far we have money for 20 solar boxes and 2 water wells to be repaired. Please continue to donate to this church and designate for solar box or well repair. It will continue to be sent to the nonprofit Designs for Hope. You have made a difference in the lives of others.
--Naomi Girls Luncheon
Friday May 19, 2023 at 10:30 am (notice time change!) at The Farm House of Springville. We will carpool and leave from back of church parking lot at 10:30 am. RSVP Linda Shaddix. The address is: Farm House of Springville, 85 Purple Heart Blvd., Springville, Al. 35146.
Children’s Ministry:
--We still need volunteers! If you are interested, please contact the church office at 205-655-3259 for more information. Must be at least 18 years of age and complete Safe Sanctuary Training and a background check.
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Our speaker for May is Dave Wood, retired CEO of Wood-Fruittcher. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
