Easter Scavenger Hunt Assistance Needed
The Children's Ministry is asking for volunteers for the Easter Scavenger Hunt taking place on April 9th. The event is from 2:00-4:00 PM and volunteers will need to help set up around 1:00 PM. There is also a need for help to supervise the different stations around the church and in the back parking lot. If you're interested in helping, contact Katie Morse at katie@fumctrussville.com
Children's Ministry Volunteers for May
Children’s Ministry is looking for volunteers to help with both Wednesday Night Live and Sunday School for the month of May. We will need at least 2 volunteers for each Wednesday and at least 1 volunteer on Sundays to work with the elementary age. Please contact Katie Morse at katie@fumctrussville.com if you are able to help or would like more information.
Landscape Work Day
The Trustees are requesting the assistance of all Church members and friends on Saturday, April 2, 2022 as we conduct a landscape workday. We will be laying pine straw, sod and completing other tasks to spruce up the landscape. We plan to begin at 8:00 am and finish by 12:00 pm. If you are able to assist in this effort (you can offer any assistance between the above hours) please contact Allen Hatcher at (205) 773-9591.
UMCOR & Samaritan’s Purse Donations for Ukraine
--TFUMC will be collecting donations to UMCOR for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. To donate, make your check payable to TFUMC and put Ukraine on the memo line. You can drop off your donations at the church office or place them in the collection plate during the Sunday services. You are also welcome to give online HERE and select UMCOR as the fund. The deadline to give for this drive will be April 30, 2022. After April 30th, donations may be made directly to UMCOR.
--On March 4, 2022, Samaritan’s Purse used a DC-8 cargo plane to airlift an Emergency Field Hospital and a Disaster Assistance Response Team to aid the Ukrainian crisis. March 6, 2022, Samaritan’s Purse is now in the process of setting up an Emergency Field Hospital on the outskirts of Lviv, Ukraine. The Emergency Room can handle 100 patients per day. Additional equipment is scheduled to be flown into Poland and taken to Ukraine this week. You can help by making a contribution to Samaritan’s Purse at the following link:

UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will hold their monthly meeting on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Breakfast is at 7:00 am, Our guest speaker this month is Katie Morse, our Children’s Minister. Please remember that children and wives are welcome at meetings. UMM Catfish Dinner
It’s back! The United Methodist Men will have the annual Catfish Dinner on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Christian Life Center. They will be serving fried and baked catfish, beans, fried okra, coleslaw, banana pudding. Tickets are $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 10 and can be purchased from any member of the United Methodist Men’s group or contact Allen Hatcher at (205) 773-9591.
Easter Baskets for Lovelady
We are collecting items for Easter baskets for the children at the Lovelady Center. We would appreciate any donated items such as: Easter baskets/buckets, Easter grass, plastic eggs, candy, small toys, small stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons/etc., bubbles, books and anything else you would like to contribute! If you would rather, you may fill a basket and bring that as well. Items may be dropped off by the Children’s Ministry office or the main office. Thank you and Happy Easter!
Ferns For Missions
February 27th through April 3rd is our annual Easter Season Sale for Missions. Boston Ferns in 10 in. hanging baskets are on sale for only $20 each. Order forms are located in the Transept, Welcome Center and in the Church Office. Please support missions by ordering in honor or in memory of someone special to you. Place your order form, along with payment, in the offering plate or at the Church office. Easter Sunday is April 17th, and we ask that you please leave the ferns in the church until after the 11:00 am services. The last date to order will be Sunday, April 3rd. Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, April 21st. We are always accepting new volunteers! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
Leisure Group April Outing
On April 26 we will leave the church parking lot at 9:00 am to travel to Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman. After we tour the Grotto, we’ll enjoy lunch at the Busy Bee Café. They serve burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads and more. The cost of admission at Ave Maria Grotto is $8 per person.
