Church Prayer Walk
We ask that everyone who is able to join us here at the church this Sunday (and the next 2 Sundays,) for a “PRAYER WALK” from 6:00 pm-6:30 pm.  If you are unable to physically walk around our church, then please pray with us at home during this time.

Noon Holy Week Services
Our Noon Holy Week services will take place Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th. We will have a different local pastor each day at noon, followed at about 12:30 pm by a light lunch in the CLC. All donations for the lunch go to T.E.A.M. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us each day.

Church Charge Conference
—There will be a called Trussville First United Methodist Church Conference on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 12:30 pm for the sole consideration of the following matter: Disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church over issues related to human sexuality per Paragraph 2553 of the Addendum to the 2016 Book of Discipline. Also, per paragraph 246.7, no other business may be conducted at this meeting. The vote will be by written ballot and disaffiliation will require a two-thirds vote of those professing members present and voting. Members present constitute a quorum. The District Superintendent of the Cheaha District of the North Alabama Conference, Rev. Sherill Clontz has consented to and will preside over this called Church Conference.

—IMPORTANT! Please be aware that once the Called Church Conference begins, a 5-minute grace period will be given for any late members to receive a ballot. After that grace period, no ballot will be distributed.

Due to member voting restrictions, new members will be processed until Monday, April 10th, then will resume after April 23rd. New members received between April 10th and April 23rd will not receive a ballot to vote.

Lovelady Center Easter Baskets
Thank you to everyone who donated Easter Baskets this year! If you have not dropped off your Easter Basket, please do so by April 3rd so they can be delivered in time for Easter. Don’t forget: They are also still in need of donations of toilet paper.

Annual Easter Ferns Sale
Time is running out!
Easter Ferns will be sold for $20 each to support Missions until April 3rd. Please leave your fern in the Sanctuary/CLC until after the 11 am service Easter Sunday. Order forms are in the Transept, Welcome Center, and the church office. Payment must be submitted with the order.

Membership Information
If you are interested in becoming a member of Trussville First, please pick up one of the membership forms in the Transept or Welcome Center, fill it out and return it to the church office. You can place it in an envelope and put it in the mail slot in the church office door if the office is closed. Please remember that you are not automatically a member if you attend, work or give. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 205-655-3259.

Children’s Ministry:
-Our Children’s Ministry is growing! Beginning 4/2, we will be dividing our Elementary and smaller children into two groups. Ages 3-5 will be in one class, while our older “Elementary” children will be in another. Elementary will be upstairs and the smaller children will be downstairs next to the Nursery in the Children/Youth (Kids First) building. Please sign your child in when you leave them in our care and sign them out when you pick them up. If you are not picking up your child, please let us know who will be picking them up.

-We still need volunteers! We all want a great Children’s program, but we depend on volunteers to accomplish what one person cannot do. There are so many opportunities to help. Listing just a few-Wednesday nights...volunteers help with the lessons, feeding the kids (maybe your small group could provide a meal?), as well as arts and crafts projects. Sunday morning-we always need volunteers to help teach our kids (volunteer permanently, once in while, a month at a time-you name it!) If you are interested, please contact the church office at 205-655-3259 for more information. Must be at least 18 years of age and complete Safe Sanctuary Training and a background check.

UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. The speaker for this meeting is Cindy Patsios whose presentation will address her completion of the Camino deSantiago, a 500 mile pilgrimage across northern Spain. A big accomplishment for a retiree who is married to retired pastor, Rich Patsios. Together they have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.

Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, April 20, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
