Spring 2022 Consignment Sale
We are back to shopping in person this year! The public sale dates are Friday, March 11th (8 AM to 7 PM) and Saturday, March 12th (8 AM to 2 PM. Most items are 50% off). Church Members can shop early on Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 pm. Don’t miss out on some great bargains on children’s clothing, toys, baby items and much more! Want to shop early? Solar Cube Party
We are having a Solar Cube Party on Wednesday, March 9th from 5-8 pm in the Youth Room upstairs in the Children’s/Youth Building. Please contact the church office at 205-655-3259 if you plan to attend.
Easter Baskets for Lovelady
The Children's Ministry will be collecting items for Easter baskets to take to the Lovelady Center in April. Our children will work on packing the baskets during Wednesday Night Live throughout March and early April. We would appreciate any donated items such as Easter baskets/buckets, Easter grass, plastic eggs, candy, small toys, small stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons/, bubbles, books, etc. You can also fill a basket of your own. Items may be dropped off by the Children’s Ministry office or the main office. Thank you and Happy Easter!
Ferns For Missions
February 27th through April 3rd is our annual Easter Season Sale for Missions. Boston Ferns in 10 in. hanging baskets are on sale for only $20 each. Order forms are located in the Transept, Welcome Center and in the Church Office. Please support missions by ordering in honor or in memory of someone special to you. Place your order form, along with payment, in the offering plate or at the Church office. Easter Sunday is April 17th, and we ask that you please leave the ferns in the church until after the 11:00 am services. The last date to order will be Sunday, April 3rd. WE NEED YOU!
The Trussville Methodist Consignment Sale still has volunteer opportunities for the Spring Consignment Sale during March 6- March 12. Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time to assist in this ministry. Church Members can shop early on Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 pm. Volunteers shop even earlier on Wednesday, March 9th depending on the number of hours worked. Please contact Katie Morse (katie@fumctrussville.com) or Carolyn Matthews to sign up for a work shift or sponsor a meal.
Naomi Girls
The Naomi Girls will meet Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall. DiAn Thompson and Pat Glenn will help us make a spring wreath for our door at home. Bring flowers and other decorative items you want on the wreath. If you want a bow you will need 3 yards of ribbon. The wreath and glue will be furnished. Please let Linda Shaddix know if you plan to make a wreath. Bring your lunch and drink.
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their monthly meeting on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. The speaker for this meeting is Trussville Police Chief Eric Rush. Please remember that children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, March 17th. We are always accepting new volunteers! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
Leisure Group
The Leisure Group will be going to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute on March 22nd. We will meet at the church at 9 AM. Museum tickets are $13 dollars each and lunch will follow at Niki's West. If you are interested in participating, contact Spencer Welch at spencer@fumctrussville.com
