Naomi Girls
The Naomi Girls will meet Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall. DiAn Thompson and Pat Glenn will help us make a spring wreath for our door at home. Bring flowers and other decorative items you want on the wreath. If you want a bow you will need 3 yards of ribbon. The wreath and glue will be furnished. Please let Linda Shaddix know if you plan to make a wreath. Bring your lunch and drink.
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their monthly meeting on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. The speaker for this meeting is Trussville Police Chief Eric Rush. Please remember that children and wives are welcome at meetings. Please notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
Emmaus Cluster Meeting
The March Emmaus Cluster meeting will be at Springville First UMC on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The address is 6471 US Highway 11, Springville, AL, 35146. Be there at 6 pm to eat and the meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. We are bringing back “Emmaus Meeting Food” starting this month. If you wish to participate, please bring a food item to share.
Leisure Group
The Leisure Group will be going to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute on March 22nd. We will meet at the church at 9 AM. Museum tickets are $13 dollars each and lunch will follow at Niki's West. If you are interested in participating, contact Spencer Welch at spencer@fumctrussville.com
Usher Training
If you are currently serving or would like to serve as an usher, we have an usher training class scheduled on Wednesday, March 30th at 6 pm in the Sanctuary. This is for ALL current ushers, as well as those willing to serve. We need more ushers, so please consider giving your time. If you are interested, please contact Lynda Payne.
SWAG Volunteers Needed
The SWAG group (middle schoolers) is in need of volunteers willing to teach Sunday School. You can volunteer any amount of time you have available. If you're interested in helping with our SWAG group, please contact Molly Hatcher at mollyahatcher@gmail.com
UMCOR & Samaritan’s Purse Donations for Ukraine
--TFUMC will be collecting donations to UMCOR for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. To donate, make your check payable to TFUMC and put Ukraine on the memo line. You can drop off your donations at the church office or place them in the collection plate during the Sunday services. You are also welcome to give online HERE and select UMCOR as the fund. The deadline to give for this drive will be April 30, 2022. After April 30th, donations may be made directly to UMCOR.
--On March 4, 2022, Samaritan’s Purse used a DC-8 cargo plane to airlift an Emergency Field Hospital and a Disaster Assistance Response Team to aid the Ukrainian crisis. March 6, 2022, Samaritan’s Purse is now in the process of setting up an Emergency Field Hospital on the outskirts of Lviv, Ukraine. The Emergency Room can handle 100 patients per day. Additional equipment is scheduled to be flown into Poland and taken to Ukraine this week. You can help by making a contribution to Samaritan’s Purse at the following link:

Easter Baskets for Lovelady
The Children's Ministry will be collecting items for Easter baskets to take to the Lovelady Center in April. Our children will work on packing the baskets during Wednesday Night Live throughout March and early April. We would appreciate any donated items such as Easter baskets/buckets, Easter grass, plastic eggs, candy, small toys, small stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons/, bubbles, books, etc. You can also fill a basket of your own. Items may be dropped off by the Children’s Ministry office or the main office. Thank you and Happy Easter!
Ferns For Missions
February 27th through April 3rd is our annual Easter Season Sale for Missions. Boston Ferns in 10 in. hanging baskets are on sale for only $20 each. Order forms are located in the Transept, Welcome Center and in the Church Office. Please support missions by ordering in honor or in memory of someone special to you. Place your order form, along with payment, in the offering plate or at the Church office. Easter Sunday is April 17th, and we ask that you please leave the ferns in the church until after the 11:00 am services. The last date to order will be Sunday, April 3rd.
