Your Place in Ministry - December 20th
Church Closure Update:
In an effort to keep everyone safe, all activities for the remainder of this week are canceled. This includes the Live Nativity. Both services on Sunday, December 20th will be livestream only. Please refrain from visiting the church building until Monday, December 21st, as we will be closed to sanitize and prepare for our Christmas Services. Thank you for understanding.
Celebrate Recovery Christmas Service
You are invited to Celebrate Recovery's Christmas Service on Tuesday, December 22rd at 6:00 PM in the CLC. If you have never experienced CR, now is the perfect time to learn more about how this ministry changes the lives of so many in our community. We encourage the congregation to join us. Your support is essential to the continued growth of this important ministry!
Church Office Holiday Hours
The church office will be closed December 23-25 for the Christmas Holiday. For the week of New Year's, we will be open for year end contributions through Thursday, December 31st at noon, then remain closed on Friday, January 1st.
Year-end gifts to the Church
The Church office will be open on Thursday, December 31st from 8 am to 12 noon for your convenience. Gifts made by 12 noon will be included in your 2020 statement of giving.
Christmas Eve Services Giving
Please remember that all donations received at our Dec. 23rd and Dec. 24th Christmas Eve services will go to “White Christmas” United Methodist Children’s Home unless marked otherwise.
Seasons Greetings from the Jennie June Croly Study Club
Because of the pandemic, we will not be able to wish you a Merry Christmas in person this year. Our annual Christmas Coffee is postponed until December of 2021. Stay safe until we can see you again at the end of next year for an even better and long-awaited 50th Christmas Coffee. Until then, "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year..."
Worship Tech Ministry Opportunities
The Worship Tech Team is currently looking for volunteers to assist in running the computer for the screens, the Sling for livestreaming and the soundboard. You will be taught everything you need to know and it is a great way to help in the production of our weekly services. If you're interested in joining our team, please contact Dan Shirah or the church office.

Stephen Ministry
During these uncertain times (financial stress, health concerns, loss of loved ones), you may find you need someone to talk to. A Stephen Minister is a congregation member who walks beside someone who is hurting due to a death, divorce, illness, family issues, etc. The Stephen Minister has been carefully selected and trained to serve in this role because of his or her caregiving gifts. He or she listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages when meeting each week with his or her care receiver for as long as there is a need. These meetings may take place in person, by video or by phone. If you could benefit from the confidential, one-to-one care and support of a Stephen Minister or would like to obtain more information, please contact Martha Cusimano at 205-601-9124 or mmcusimano@centurytel.net.
