- It’s almost time for our Spring Consignment Sale! Volunteer registration is going on now. If you are interested in volunteering during the spring sale week, March 10th & 16th, visit https://tmccsale.com to get more information and sign up.
Public Sale Dates: Friday, March 15 from 10 am-9 pm, Saturday, March 16 from -8 am-2 pm (Many items are 50% off!)
TEAM Dollar Dash: Saturday, March 16 from 4-6 pm and Sunday, March 17 from 2-4 pm. Everything is $1. CASH ONLY. Due to limited space NO strollers or children are allowed. Thank you for your continued support of the sale!
- SWAG, our tween group, will be collecting new mittens, gloves, toboggans and socks for TEAM during their “Share the Warmth” Drive. Kids and adult sizes are needed. Please place donations in the designated spot by John Wesley (outside the Fellowship Hall) from January 15 - February 18. Thank you for your help!
- Women’s Ministry Day Retreat: “Better Together” - Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Guest Speaker is Laura Joseph. Light snacks and coffee will be provided for breakfast by Maple Avenue Coffee House and lunch will be provided by the Trussville Methodist Men. There will be morning and afternoon sessions, door prizes, music and a very special gift for each person attending. Cost is $25 and it will need to be submitted with the sign-up form. Forms are available in the Transept, Welcome Center and the Church Office. You can also sign up online here. Deadline to register is Monday, January 29, 2024. - Rick Sharp will begin a new Bible study, “The Book of Acts” on Wednesday, January 31 at 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall (location recently changed). Bring your Bible, no other book is required. This will be a verse-by-verse study directly from the Bible. Text or call Rick at 205-835-2690 for more information or to sign up.
- Naomi Girls Luncheon - Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:30 am at the Cracker Barrel in Trussville. We will have a guest speaker, Candy Strickland, to share with the group about our new project for the year, Hope Lodge. Hope Lodge specializes in helping cancer patients have a place to stay during treatments. If you are a widow attending First Methodist Trussville and would like to become a part of the group, or if you plan to attend the luncheon, please contact Linda Shaddix.
- A new Young Adult Sunday school class will meet for the first time on January 21st at 9:45 am in the Women’s Study Room upstairs over the Fellowship Hall. This class will consist of primarily young professionals and college students.
- Have you completed the member information update, either online or hard copy? Whether you are a long-time member or you have just recently joined the church, you will need to complete this form so that your membership information is in our database. This is very important and much appreciated! If you have not completed the form yet, they are still available in the Transept, Welcome Center and church office, as well as online. Please fill out yours today and turn it in to the church office! Thank you.
- Technical support needed. If you enjoy working with computers, camera or sound systems, please contact Dan Shirah. We are in need of volunteers to help on Sundays (and sometimes special functions) with the technical support of the services. Your time investment would involve approximately one Sunday per month at this time after training.
- The Trussville Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Notify Allen Hatcher by phone or text at (205) 773-9591 if you will be attending the meeting.
- The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.
