Lunch and Learn
We will move forward with the ‘Lunch and Learn’ studies, with our first ‘Global Church - Lunch and Learn’ on Sunday, January 22nd. Lunch will NOT be provided. Bring your lunch and join us.
Discernment Video Assistance
There is a sign-up sheet in the Transept for those who would like assistance to view the discernment information videos on the church website.
Grief Support Returns
Grief Support will begin the next 12-week support group for loss of spouse on Thursday, January 26th. For more information on grief support, contact the church office.
Ciudad Medical Mission
The Annual Medical Mission to Ciudad Victoria, Mexico with Mega Missions is scheduled for February 15-22, 2023. The cost will be around $650. We already have four commitments from our church, If you have an interest in going on this trip, please contact Dan Shirah or Johnny Evans (205) 446-0658 as soon as possible. Those already signed up are Dan & Freda Shirah, Ann Walls, and Lois Duran. Johnny will get a final count and let everyone know when the money is due, after Christmas holidays.
Youth Ministry
Confirmation begins on Sunday, January 22nd, during the Sunday school hour (9:45-10:45 am) and will meet in the Confirmation Room upstairs above the church office. If you have any questions, please contact Phillip McEvoy: phillip@fumctrussville.com
UMM Monthly Meeting
The United Methodist Men will conduct their next monthly meeting on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the meeting. Chris Bond, the Executive Director of Designs for Hope, a non-profit that exists to Equip and Empower disciple makers in developing regions, is our speaker. Their Vision is to design and deliver innovative solutions to the physical and spiritual needs of disciple makers, which empowers them to ignite their communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Breakfast will be provided by the Friendship class. As always, children and wives are welcome at meetings. Community Food Bank
The Mission Team volunteers this month at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, January 19, 2023. We welcome ALL who wish to help! If you would like to join the team, please call Charlene Sharp at 205-835-2691 or email at csharp@bellsouth.net to register.

Our new organ has been installed! We are still in need of donations to help with the cost. Our goal is $94,000. Thanks to generous donors, we have raised over $41,650.
