Children’s Ministry at Trussville First Methodist

At Trussville First, our children’s ministry seeks to provide a loving and safe environment for everyone. We help prepare our children to go out into the world and share the Good News of Jesus Christ through biblical teachings that they can apply to everyday life.

Children play a huge role in the ministries of the church and are actively involved in worship. From serving as Acolytes in our traditional and blended worship services, singing in the choir, serving as liturgists, Sunday school, Wednesday Night LIVE and various special gatherings, we offer a variety of opportunities for Christian fellowship, growth and development.

Trussville First plays an active role around our community with several outreach ministries such as our Trussville Methodist Consignment Sale in the fall and spring, Music & Arts Camp, Summer Camp at Sumatanga, Blessing of the Backpacks, and more!

We have a loving nursery for children ages birth-two years of age starting at 8:00 am on Sunday mornings and 6 pm on Wednesday evenings. Our nursery staff is trained in Safe Sanctuary and undergone nationwide background checks.

Kids First, our weekday program open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., offers a caring and safe environment for children ages 6 weeks through 4k. After school and summer care is provided for elementary age children through 5th grade with weekday drop off and pick up at Magnolia, Cahaba, and Paine Elementary schools.
