If you would like to leave cards/notes of appreciation for Pastor Shan, we have two baskets set up-one in the Transept and one in the Welcome Center. Please take a moment to give well wishes and thanks to Shan for her years of service at First Methodist Trussville.
The Global Annual Conference will be held this coming week, June 12-14. Please be in prayer for the Conference attendees and business matters. We will be having the Ordination Service here at First Methodist on June 13 at 7:00 pm.

It’s VBS time! Once again, we will team up with Clearbranch and Springville Methodist to host our Community VBS June 23rd-27th from 6:00pm-8:30pm! This is for rising 4K-6th graders and childcare for younger children is provided for volunteers. FMCT is in charge of the craft station this year, but volunteer positions are welcome everywhere, so sign up today!

The Birmingham Community Concert Band, conducted by Alan Brooks will present a Summer Patriotic Concert on Sunday, June 29 at 3 pm in the CLC. They will perform patriotic songs and marches and will feature their first Clarinetist, Arthur Deagon, in Clarinet on the Town.

Friends and Family’s next outing will be at Bama Bucks in Boaz, Al. Saturday June 21 @ Noon. This is a unique wild animal park built around a specialty restaurant. Kids and adults love the zoo-like experience. Please call or text Pat Hamilton 205/529-6222 to book your reservation. All are welcome to join us!
Naomi Girls will meet for lunch June 20 at 11:30 am at the Ark in Springville. Let Linda Shaddix know if you plan to attend.
Student Ministry Beach Retreat– July 17th-21st ...Thursday-Monday! We will be headed to Laguna Beach Christian Retreat and we are super excited about it! Please encourage not just your student, but also their friends as well, to attend! This trip will take place July17th-21st and will be $250/person. This covers their transportation, lodging, food, go-karts, and materials to make this trip happen. We will have daily lessons, competitions, worship times, small groups, and lots of free time to ensure your student gets the best experience from this trip. We eat pizza, gourmet burgers, have a shrimp boil, ride go-karts, play volleyball, and many other activities! We have 45 spots reserved for this trip and would love to fill all of them with not only our students, but some of their friends as well! You are invited to the 11:00 am Bible Study in the Sanctuary. We have an open discussion of the Bible, chapter by chapter and are currently in Galatians. Led by Rev. Shan Odom and Matthew Pearson.
The next Trussville Methodist Men’s Breakfast will take place on June 8, 2025, at 7 am in the Fellowship Hall. The speaker will be Dr. Aaron King, Principal of Hewitt Trussville High School. Wives and children are always welcome.
The Mission Team’s June outing to the Food Bank will be on Thursday, June 26th due to the Juneteenth Holiday. They will also be volunteering Thursday, July 17th and Thursday August 21st. They will meet at the church at 8:00, leave at 8:15, work from 9:00-11:30. If you have any questions, call Charlene Sharp at 205 835-2691.
